Your guide will pick up you at the Yangon International airport and visit the largest commercial city, Yangon. Visit Shwedagon Pagoda, walk, to the sound of bells and incantations of the faithful, at the foot of the huge golden stupa that the last light of the sun ignites a thousand lights. And continue to Chaukhtetgyi Pagoda, reclining Buddha image. It is housed in a large metal-roofed shed, only a short distance, located north east of the Shwedagon Pagoda. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the Bogyoke Market, lacquer market, precious stones, fabrics and art and artifacts. Then, directly drives to downtown city where you can see colonial buildings, many of these beautiful structures now stand in disrepair. These amazing buildings have seen a lot over the years, including colonial control, a Japanese invasion, military rule, and the struggle for peace. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. Flight Yangon to Heho domestic airport. Picking up from Heho and drive to Pindaya, a small quiet town located on the bank of Botoloke Lake. Visit to Pindaya cave, containing thousands of Buddha images. Lunch at a local restaurant.
You can explore the district for famous traditional paper and its umbrella making home base cottage industry. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. Early morning, walk to the market and buy all the provision for your forthcoming three days trek. This morning, enjoy a walk through the hills, 1 hour, to Htwe Ni, village of the Danu tribe. You will pass through the farming where the Danu cultivates cheroot, tea plantations, damsons and mangoes on the hillsides. The track crosses the valley floor before climbing very steeply again to another Danu village of See Kyat Inn stop for simple lunch.
Continue to walk about 2 hours to Yasakyi, another Danu village. In the afternoon, observe tribal village life and how the Palaung people dry cheroot in a specially designed oven. Simple dinner and accommodation at Yasakyi Monastery.
Simple Breakfast. This morning, enjoy continue walking through the hills, 40 minutes, to a village of the Da Nu tribe. The Danu cultivates peanut, corn, ginger, potatoes and cauliflower on the hillsides. After 40 minutes, arrive at Danu village of Lin Lai Inn and continue about 40 minutes to Me Ne Taung, another Pao village.
Have a simple lunch at Pin Sein Pinn village and have a chat with the people. Then, take another 2 hours to Kan Hla Kone for night-stop. Simple dinner and accommodation at Kan Hla Kone Village Monastery.
Simple breakfast. This morning, enjoy continue walking through the hills. The path leads through several villages, producing Shan Tea in the traditional way. You will see the drying of the tea leaves and pass through the tea plantations. From the hills are great views on the surrounding Shan plateau. Back to Pindaya. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Drive to Kalaw, a British hill station. Relics of this area still exist within the township with colonial style buildings and the British built rail network.
Visit around Kalaw sightseeing, Hnee Pagoda – lacquered bamboo Buddha, Kalaw railway station, Kalaw Market and Shwe Oo Min Pagoda.
Continue to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, visit Inle lake, a fresh water lake. You can discover numerous small villages with floating houses and life style of Intha (the people of the inle). Visit the NgaPhe monastery, also called “jumping cat monastery” since its monks have trained cats to jump inside rings. This wooden monastery, built on stilts, contains an astonishing collection of Buddha statues. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the PhaugDawOo Pagoda, which contains 5 Buddha statues brought from the Malay Peninsula in the 12th century (during the pagoda festival in September /October four of them are transported aboard a gigantic golden barge for the visit of riparian villages) and visit the floating market, some of its many artisanal silk-weaving, cigar-making factories. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. Transfer Heho airport and flight to Yangon. Visit Botahtaung Pagoda, located beside the Yangon river. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit to the Kandawgyi Garden where you can see the view of the golden Shwedagon Pagoda. Transfer to the railway station to ride circular train that give you the opportunity to enjoy observing the colourful life of the rural people. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Breakfast. Free time until to transfer you to the Yangon international airport for departure.
