Your guide will pick up you at the Yangon International airport and visit the largest commercial city, Yangon. Visit Shwedagon Pagoda, walk, to the sound of bells and incantations of the faithful, at the foot of the huge golden stupa that the last light of the sun ignites a thousand lights. And continue to Chaukhtetgyi Pagoda, reclining Buddha image. It is housed in a large metal-roofed shed, only a short distance, located north east of the Shwedagon Pagoda. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the Bogyoke Market, lacquer market, precious stones, fabrics and art and artifacts. Then, directly drives to downtown city where you can see colonial buildings, many of these beautiful structures now stand in disrepair. These amazing buildings have seen a lot over the years, including colonial control, a Japanese invasion, military rule, and the struggle for peace. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. Flight Yangon to Heho domestic airport. Picking up from Heho and drive to Pindaya, a small quiet town located on the bank of Botoloke Lake. Visit to Pindaya cave, containing thousands of Buddha images. Lunch at a local restaurant.
You can explore the district for famous traditional paper and its umbrella making home base cottage industry. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Early morning, walk to the market and buy all the provision for your forthcoming 2 days trek. We will first arrive to Htwe Ni Village, which is about 45 minutes from the starting point. We will have a local guide which he will explain more about the village, the people and the project currently supports and from the community leader from each village. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the local ordinary lives and ways of producing black tea, green tea as their main business.
We will also visit the Pone Gyi Net Cave before arriving to See Kya Inn village around noon, which will be followed by lunch and an exploration of the village. Traditional Danu food will be served during the lunchtime.
After the lunch, we will visit the nearby villages where they make products that are made from bamboo. During your journey you will observe each village different living styles, culture, health care system, business and how we are going to support them during our stay there. Traditional games will be held which we can get engaged with the villagers and enjoy the sunset watching before dinner is being served.
During night activities, culture show, bonfire party and a customized lantern making will be included in the activities. Traditional dance will be charged additionally.
Start your day with traditional food continental breakfast from 6 am to 9 am. After the breakfast, we will begin our second day activity with planning trees, which cost 1000 kyats per tree. The second activity will be tea cultivation, which is the main occupation for Pindaya Region and learn how to make dried green tea for selling. From them, we will check out from See Kya Inn village around noon.
Lunch will be provided at Pin Sein Pin village where we will be staying for second day. From there we will explore the villages, traditional costume and learn how to do a handmade product. The community leader will explain about our project proposal and why we choose these regions to support them.
For dinner, we will learn how to cook their easy traditional food and enjoy the dinner together with the villagers. During the night activity we will learn how to a lantern with Shan papers as a gift from the villagers.
Simple breakfast. This morning, enjoy continue walking through the hills. The path leads through several villages, producing Shan Tea in the traditional way. You will see the drying of the tea leaves and pass through the tea plantations. From the hills are great views on the surrounding Shan plateau. Back to Pindaya. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Drive to Kalaw, a British hill station. Relics of this area still exist within the township with colonial style buildings and the British built rail network.
Visit around Kalaw sightseeing, Hnee Pagoda – lacquered bamboo Buddha, Kalaw railway station, Kalaw Market and Shwe Oo Min Pagoda. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast. Transfer Heho airport and flight to Yangon. Visit Botahtaung Pagoda, located beside the Yangon river. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit to the Kandawgyi Garden where you can see the view of the golden Shwedagon Pagoda. Transfer to the railway station to ride circular train that give you the opportunity to enjoy observing the colorful life of the rural people. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Breakfast. Free time until to transfer you to the Yangon international airport for departure.
